Their apple studel is amazing.l
I have purchased stollen from them in December.
I do not know, though they have a good selection of homemade sausages to choose from. Treat yourself!
Yes, they do.
They may have and if not you can probably ask them to make em, a call should reveal the answer
I'm sure they'd make you one. I would recommend calling and asking
I had the same problem with the box I purchased.
I don't know, they are always out when I go.😔
I don't know. But I do know their products are excellent
Great pretzels and pretzel croissants, fresh baked breads, great sausage and brats, awesome imported German spices and goodies. But the younger long haired glasses girl is always rude and rushes your order, doesn't smile, doesn't have patients. Maybe she's autistic or doesn't like her job, either way, not a pleasant experience when she's there.
Love the assortment of German pastries, bread an groceries.
Been coming here all my life and now I take my son too, great place to buy German goodies and the owner is Awesome
Food tasted old.
We've been shopping here for (Gees) many years for their fresh breads and baked goods, especially The Stollen with Marzipan at Christmas. Their breads are baked daily. They also have the widest variety of Black-bread of anywhere, which I eat a lot of because it is such a hearty dense bread and delicious. It is imported from Germany. They also sell German non-beers. I really like the Karamalz, which includes a picture from our kitchen. This store is very popular with Germanophiles and a lot of the conversation is in German.
Oh my! It's a 90 minute round trip. But I make it a few times a year. Great strudel. Amazing bread and sausage.
The bread is great and so are the girls, never a long wait and always friendly.
Two friendly ladies own it. Genuine German food items and fresh bakery. It's as genuine German and all original. I love it .
Eclairs are fab home made along with their other bakery items. They take pride in their baked goods!
Everything is made by scratch here. I think I enjoyed everything, but haven't tried the German Christmas bread yet. Who else makes apple and cherry strudel or peach cake and real custard filled eclairs anymore? This place does, and it is fantastic! The bread is fresh baked and I usually buy all the country white loaves, but if you call ahead they will bake extra.
Been going here to get our dark rye since I was a child with my grandparents. Brought my kids in recently & the experience is unchanged. World class people & all of my childhood favorites still on offer!
The pretzels are great. But the young woman who was helping me today was anything but friendly. Felt like Germany 50 years ago. No smile, no welcoming attitude.
Very good little spot. Good history and friendly people. Nice variety of items.
Believe it or not, they indeed bake bread and Semmeln as one knows it from Germany.
This place was an answer to prayer. They had everything I wanted and more. I wish I had come here b4 the other german place not too far away. Next year it will be different. OHB will be our first and only stop to stock up for christmas eve dinner!
Do they have simple German brown bread? Not sweet? That's what I SEEK!
Yummy I didn't know what to get so I got the garlic Bologna it's delicious and a couple of rolls to eat it with so far everything is delicious glad I stopped
Great place. I expected more sweets but had plenty to choose from plus other products like Curry Catsup & German mustard & potato pancake mix. Looked like a nice selection of sausages also
The friendliest staff and the best products. Hands down!!!!
Have driven byfor a couple of years when I am in Phoenix, but never during their hours. Stopped in today. A must for a good variety of imported goods fresh bread and pretzels, along with meats. Highly recommend , I'll be back Friday before flying to California.
My friends on my route on my birthday we dropped by dad fresh rye bread and it smelled just like Europe
The smell when you open the door is amazing! Best German Bakery and all the trimmings for the perfect meal
Amazing little bakery!!! Friendly staff, great pastries, a local gem!!!
If you know german baking...go here. Limited selections but authentic brotchin. Wish they still had the fleischsalat. Sigh.
Warm rolls, great prices and selection!
A great place to get dine simple german imported food stuff. The bakery has great bread as well.
We're regulars here and find our good German things - a port in a storm, so to speak. Baked goods have been Americanized but for all that are quite good. Need German variety in rolls. Wish they had a real "Konditor" (a confectioner who can make those wonderful German cakes) - Phoenix would never be the same again.
These people are rude...waited and waited then some man walks in and they helped him and the whole I'm still waited. I left they didn't have any pretzel bread .just some tiny buns ...would not recommend this place
I've lived in Phoenix all my life - how did I not know this bakery existed?Fresh breads, fun German market, and Danish that have the kind of flakey crunch you can only find in east coast bakeries. I'm hooked!
Pretzels! Actual, pretzely-tasting pretzels as would be found in most bakeries in Germany. Not dense and bread-y like the soft pretzels sold in malls and most restaurants in the US (and also smaller and less dense than the giant Bavarian / Oktoberfest pretzels you can get various places.) The only catch is that you really need to eat them the day they are baked as they will go stale very quickly. I will buy extra and immediately freeze a batch as soon as I get home, and they are 80% as good when thawed/reheated. Yes, they also sell a selection of various imported noodles, soup mixes, candies, sauerkraut, etc. as well as some very good pastries, rye breads, and sausages. But the pretzels are definitely the star.
Great German bakery. Reminds me of Germany and my grandparents 😀
They have a great assortment of German goods. The staff is really friendly as well. They only make enough for the day and the sell out early.
Fantastic bakery, I only visited them recently, but I wish I had found them when I first moved to the area. Delicious food, great variety and it smells and tastes so fresh. All of the employees are super sweet too.
The Best Pretzels
If you love European and German food, this is a must visit. Everything you can think of (and things you didn't even know you wanted) is here. The best rye bread EVER. Great service and incredibly friendly owner and employees. If you have questions they are very knowledgeable and patient. Did I mention I LOVE this place?
AMAZING! If you have ever been to Germany...this is a place that will bring back memories! That strudel...OMG!!!!
Old world traditional foods, EXCELLENT staff with GREAT customer service! All of the old favorites, chocolates, fresh baked old style goodies even real gummy bears! This is a super fun place to shop!
Get my coffee fix when the commissary is oit!
Very nice bakery among other item. Good people
Absolutely love this shop! My boyfriend and I try to stop in at least once a month. The people are absolute dolls and make you feel right at home. There's a wonderful selection of treats and every day meal items. If you enjoy German culture and cuisine, you have to stop by and at least say guten Tag!
The best. Should be anyone's regular bread place. Its German.
Not only are they super friendly for me going there is like Christmas, Easter just all Holidays at once. Great assortment of German goodies plus fantastic baked good!!!!
This is hands down my favorite GF Gluten free restaurant in the valley. One doesn't need to be GF to enjoy eating here. The way everything is prepared is done with care and executed perfectly. The staff is extremely friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu choices and ingredients.Expect to wait, the secret is out and the space is limited. As you can tell it's worth the wait!
Long time family owned traditional German bakery, with small store area to also get what you may need from the Old Country.
Love this place, been going here since moving to Arizona 3 yrs ago-Only down fall is the young lady who works there, her customer service skills are horrible. She miss understood what I wanted 3 seperate times and gave me attitude and never once apologized!Still this will not stop me from returning! If your looking for true "Authentic" German Food this is the place!
absolutely amazing place to eat. I love everything about this place from the atmosphere to the service to the absolutely delicious food. It's in a great neighborhood to this is definitely the place to eat if you're in the area and definitely a place I'm going to visit again
Heaven for those deprived of German delicatessen and breads. Super pretzels here! My source of good bread. Thanks for being here for us.
The owners who run it are wonderful and kind, very helpful if you have questions regarding the products they carry which are actually from Germany. They make their own bakery items from pretzels to fruit schnitzel. I highly recommend going in and checking it out!!!!
Best German Bakery around! Definitely a must during Christmas. Makes great family gifts as well. A real gem in Phoenix!
The almond log and pretzels are amazing. You have to get there early or the almond logs sell out. Nice staff and good selection of breads and pastries.
